Racconti da un mondo a parteQuesta sottosezione raccoglie una serie di racconti fotografici nati durante i molti viaggi che ho fatto in India, spesso compiuti in solitudine, con l'intento di assaporare l’unicità di questo immenso e sorprendente paese.
L’India non ha mezze misure: o la si ama profondamente, al punto da non poterne fare a meno, o la si respinge. Io, nel tempo, ho imparato ad amarla.
Ogni raccolta è una storia a sé: il tempio dei topi di Deshnoke, quello delle scimmie a Jaipur, le feste popolari di Udaipur, i mercati, le strade, gli sguardi.
Sono frammenti di un’India che non si lascia mai definire del tutto, ma che ogni volta affascina, travolge e lascia il segno.In queste fotografie e parole cerco di restituire almeno una parte del suo caos meraviglioso, delle sue contraddizioni, della sua umanità profonda.
Tales from another world
This subsection gathers a series of photographic stories born from the many journeys I’ve taken through India—often alone with the sole purpose of immersing myself in the uniqueness of this immense and astonishing country.
India is not a land of half measures: you either fall deeply in love with it, to the point you can’t stay away, or you turn away from it. Over time, I’ve learned to love it.
Each collection is a story in itself: the rat temple of Deshnoke, the monkey temple in Jaipur, popular festivals in Udaipur, markets, streets, glances.
These are fragments of an India that never fully reveals itself, but always fascinates, overwhelms, and leaves a mark.Through these photographs and words, I try to convey at least a part of its marvelous chaos, its contradictions, and its deep humanity.
